BCCI Announces Squad For India’s Tour Of Australia

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announces India’s Test, ODI and T20I squads for India’s tour of Australia. The Selection Committee met via video-conference on Monday to pick the squads.

India is playing three T20Is, three ODIs and four Test matches against Australia.

Virat kohli is the captain for all the formats. Sanju Samson finds a place in the T20I squad, while Rishabh Pant misses out in the limited overs format. KL Rahul has been backed for the ODI side. Wriddhiman Saha will be wicketkeeping in the Tests and Rishabh Pant would be the extra keeper.

Rohit Sharma, who has not played for India since the T20I series in New Zealand in earlier this year, is not a part of the squad. A new name to enter the dressing room on this tour will be KKR’s mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy who picked up 5/20.

Prithvi Shaw has been dropped from the ODI squad too while Bhuvneshwar Kumar misses out due to an injury.
